Nuit Blanche - Asterisms, Naomi B. Cook.

Special light installation at Musée Maison Auguste Comte, Paris

On the exceptional occasion of Nuit Blanche, Naomi Cook’s light boxes get assembled in the courtyard of Auguste Comte’s house. 1.6 x 1.6 meters, this human-sized sky vault invites the viewers to confront face to face, body to body, the immensity of our visible universe. Cook’s asterisms light through, surrounding the uncanny Milky Way. Satellites, kites, snakes, trash cans, lawnmowers - these objects become characters and heroes of a new, contemporary, feminist, philosophical, science-geek world.

This special event is part of Naomi Cook’s solo exhibition “Asterisms" at the Musée Maison d’Auguste Comte taking place from 17.09 to 22.10.2022.
