Gabriela Anco is an art curator, critic, and exhibition producer based between France and Germany. Her interests center around sociology and societal norms, particularly humanity’s often contradictory attitudes toward history and progress, the past and the present. Her mission is to ignite discussions on the ever-evolving tapestry of contemporary societal paradigms, using her exhibitions and texts as catalysts for exploring pressing topics such as climate change, human rights, scientific advancement, and humanism.

Gabriela Anco has incorporated an eclectic range of artists and artworks into her projects, spanning from historical figures such as Joseph Beuys, Marcel Duchamp, Lucio Fontana, and Man Ray, to contemporary talents including Cecile Bicler, Jagna Ciuchta, Naomi B. Cook, Amélie Labourdette, Adrien Lamm, Jeanne Susplugas, and Vadim Zacharov. In a conscious response to outdated patriarchal norms, Gabriela Anco leans heavily towards promoting women artists.

Since 2018, Gabriela Anco has collaborated with several exhibition spaces in Paris, including Rinomina, Galerie Mansart, Galerie Papillon, and Galerie dix9. In 2022, she curated her first solo museum show, “Asterisms” by Naomi B. Cook at the Museum Maison Auguste Comte. In Berlin, from 2016 to 2019 she co-founded fontaine b., an enterprise specializing in art curation and advisory. Between 2015 and 2017, she directed and managed projects for the Berlin-based artistic initiative Zona Dynamic, earning recognition that culminated in the prestigious Berlin Senate Award for independent project spaces.

She holds a Master’s degree in Cinema Theory and Aesthetics from Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris and is a member of the associations C-E-A and AICA. Currently, she is a frequent contributor to Zéro Deux magazine.
