Belle Beau Gallery is thrilled to announce the opening of Data Suite—an immersive exhibition that takes you "from the bed to the Bible" in a hotel suite reimagined as a modern love story data hub. A hotel room can be both a shared public and private space, similar to the combination of the intimate and the impersonal in our digital lives. In the Data Suite installation, the furniture and familiar hotel items—bed, headboard, welcome mat, lamp, pillow, and even Bible—become storytellers, each capturing tales of love, sex, and dating through data visualization. Whether you're in for a pillow talk on the impact of swipes or ready for a "divine" look at ghosting, Data Suite offers a playful journey through the intimate, the impersonal, and the dating stories in between.

A Night in Someone Else's Affair

On Saturday, December 7th, from 6 pm to 9 pm, Data Suite transforms into a stage for three performances that bring the exhibit's themes to life. A staged reading of private Hinge messages reveals the highs, lows, and hilarious misunderstandings of modern romance. Choreographer Marie Polo dives into the intimate undercurrents of digital love with a dance piece inspired by an online love triangle. Experimental musician Blake Hargreaves teams up with one of the exhibit's objects for an experimental musical experience.

𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙠 with Romain Levi and Marie Polo
Step into the intimate world of two strangers connected through a dating app. Reading the messages exchanged before a first encounter on Hinge, the actors reveal the vulnerability and anticipation that can be found in this very modern way of connecting. 

𝙏𝙧𝙤ï𝙠𝙖 choreography by Marie Polo 
Inspired by the Ashley Madison hack, witness a dance performance that delves into the intimate details of a digital affair. Polo and her dancers interlace a narrative using location data and personal information, creating a poignant exploration of love and sex from the perspective of a woman at the center of this love triangle.

𝙈𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙮 𝙈𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙮 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙚 with Blake Hargreaves
Immerse yourself in a visceral exploration of digital intimacy based on webcam data. Hargreaves’ performance blends the raw intensity of a captured orgasm with the mechanical precision of a 7-minute MIDI track, transforming a private act into a public spectacle.
